Draft Notes

Duane Washington Jr. wasn’t a hot name coming into the draft process but he’s had a great post season, has performed well in games against other draft prospects and has decided to keep his name in the 2021 draft. He projects as a late second rounder or undrafted player but should find his way into a NBA camp and have a chance to play for a roster spot.

Washington Jr. is a slick ball handler who has really nice change of speed with the dribble. He can blow by his man and get into the lane despite not having elite athleticism, using his crafty dribble to gain separation. He can score in the lane with an array of floaters and a nice layup package.

A solid 3pt shooter who hit nearly 40% over the past two seasons at Ohio State. Isn’t a big time bucket-getter but has enough scoring pop to keep the defense honest, which helps him facilitate for others.
