NBA DRAFT SCOUTING REPORT

Draft Notes
David Johnson is a talented lead guard who has a big, strong frame and a bright NBA future.
His plus positional size and good basketball instincts could make him a late first to mid second round draft pick in 2021 or 2022.
Johnson has good straight-line speed and gets off the ground well, showing the ability to finish in traffic and the strength to absorb contact.
He does most of his scoring in the lane at this point and isn’t much of an outside shooter, although he’ll surely add this to his game over time.
He’s not the most agile player and needs to work on his lateral quickness if he wants to be able to stay in front of NBA lead guards. But he’s got a great frame, defensive versatility and plenty of more upside to develop, on both ends of the floor.
