Draft Notes

Aminu is a two-way player who is a powerful athlete, very instinct on the defensive end and capable of guarding all over the court. He fits the role of a small ball 4 and plays on the wing as well.

He’s a very intriguing athlete with a ton of upside ability. Aminu can get to the rim well on the offensive end and shows a natural feel for the game and a willingness to pass the ball out of traffic. He’s got a lot of play-making ability and knows how to keep the ball moving.

He can play above the rim with ease and is a dynamic transition player and good off-the-ball cutter.

The form on his jump shot is good but he’s not yet hitting the outside shot with any consistency. The ability is all there but his offense remains a work in progress.

Comparisons

  • built physically like Talen Horton-Tucker plus an inch or two
