NBA DRAFT SCOUTING REPORT
POSITION: SF | FROM: Pepperdine | HT: 6-7 | WT: 195 |
BORN: NA | YEAR: So. | WING: NA | REACH: NA |
Draft Notes
Lewis is a lanky rangy 3 and D wing who can really stroke the ball from downtown. He’s got ideal size on the wing, good length and enough athleticism for the league.
Lewis doesn’t need the ball in his hands a lot to be effective and is good at spacing the floor and attacking from the wing. His 3pt shooting looks special and if he can keep up the hot shooting he’ll get a lot of first round and even lottery consideration.
He doesn’t have a elite first step but is a very crafty driver and can take it to the cup with either hand and finish in a variety of ways.
He’s not an elite run/jump athlete and doesn’t have elite speed but appears to have enough agility to guard in space and match up against NBA level speed. Can get beat off the dribble but recovers well. Is a high level shot blocker for a wing showing great timing anticipation and instincts. The quicker guards in the league will give him some trouble but he does have the ability to switch onto most guards and even guard down and cover some 4’s as well.
