Tier (#) | 2019 Dynasty Rankings – 1/31/20 |
---|---|
1 (1) | Zion Williamson, Pelicans – Career Projection: Superstar/Hall of Famer/Fingers crossed The dude is just unreal. Zion has a chance to be one of the top players in NBA history (and a top 10 fantasy talent for a decade). Despite some health concerns he’s got to be in the top spot on this list. |
1 (2) | Ja Morant, Grizzlies – Career Projection: Superstar/Hall of Famer Ja is off to an amazing start to his career and projects as a likely All-Star and one of the best players in the League for years to come. His upside is as a top 20 asset and one of the most exciting players to own/watch. |
2 (3) | Brandon Clarke, Grizzlies – Career Projection: All-Star/Fantasy Monster How the fuq did Clarke fall to no.21 on draft day? He’s a future All Star in the League and could be a fantasy monster from day one. He’s not as flashy as some of the guards on this list but he’ll be real fun to own. |
2 (4) | DeAndre Hunter, Hawks – Career Projection: Starter/Possible All-Star/Stocks Winner Hunter isn’t the most exciting player you’ll ever see but he stuffs the stat sheet and could become a very high level fantasy player. |
2 (5) | Tyler Herro, Heat – Career Projection: Starter/Possible All-Star/3pt Sniper Although he’s not yet consistent and has had some ups and downs Herro still projects as an elite 3pt specialist with some go-to scoring potential. |
2 (6) | P.J. Washington, Hornets – Career Projection: Starter/Possible All-Star/Solid P.J. makes a big move up the board. The Hornets will be a dumpster fire this year but that will spell big minutes for him. His 3pt shot looks legit and he does a little bit of everything on the court. |
3 (7) | R.J. Barrett, Knicks – Career Projection: Star/All-Star/Potential Hall of Famer R.J. is going to be a great player in real life but for fantasy purposes his lack of efficiency and turnovers hurt his value. He’s hitting a little rookie wall right now. |
3 (8) | Rui Hachimura, Wizards – Career Projection: Starter/Possible All-Star Rui shows flashes of big time potential but he’s very inconsistent right now. He gets a lot of minutes, which makes him more fun to own, and which will speed up his development. |
3 (9) | Coby White, Bulls – Career Projection: Starter/Possible All-Star/Scoring Machine Coby has been hot and cold recently but is looking like he could become an elite scorer in the League. He’s a score first guard who gets shots up in volume, although he suffers from a lack of counting stats. |
3 (10) | Jarrett Culver, Timberwolves – Career Projection: Starter/Defensive Stopper Although Culver’s shooting isn’t great, he will fill up the stat sheet with great stocks, a ton of transition buckets, rebounds and eventually some 3’s. He’s got some stealth upside as a possible NBA star. He’s got the tools. |
3 (11) | Jaxson Hayes, Pelicans – Career Projection: Starter/Possible All-Star/Sleeper-star He might not produce a ton in year one but Hayes has all kinds of upside and could blossom in year 2 or 3 of his career. |
3 (12) | Darius Garland, Cavs – Career Projection: Starter/Possible All-Star/Category Winner His fantasy upside is unlimited but injuries raise a red flag. Garland is starting to find his groove with the Cavs and is likely to have some big games this year, which could catipult his stock. |
4 (13) | Sekou Doumbouya, Pistons – Career Projection: Starter/Sleeper-star Sekou is the youngest player in the draft and has all the traits you look for. It might take a few years but if you can afford to wait on him it might be worth it. |
4 (14) | Cam Reddish, Hawks – Career Projection: Possible Starter If everything clicks he could be a top 10 fantasy player in this class but he’ll have to be a much more efficient scorer than what we saw at Duke. |
4 (15) | Kendrick Nunn, Heat – Career Projection: Starter/Bucket Getter Nunn of us saw this one coming. Kendrick has come out of nowhere and is putting up nice scoring numbers for the Heat. He’s old for a rookie but that doesn’t diminish his awesome early-season production. |
4 (16) | Matisse Thybulle, Sixers – Career Projection: Defensive Super-Star/Sleeper Matisse has the potential to put up insane defensive stats, while also hitting 3’s and playing a solid all around game. He can be a category winner for both steals and blocks. Get him if you can. |
5 (17) | Daniel Gafford, Bulls – Career Projection: Possible Starter/ He fell too far on draft day. Gafford has a defined role, which he plays really well. The minutes won’t be there this year but he’s one to keep an eye on in the future. |
5 (18) | Nickeil Alexander-Walker, Pelicans – Career Projection: Starter/Possible All-Star/ Nickeil has shown flashes but the minutes haven’t been there lately. He’s a guy who can stuff the stat sheet when given the chance. So be patient. |
5 (19) | Goga Bitadze, Pacers – Career Projection: Starter/Possible All-Star/Sleeper-star The Pacers might have gotten a huge steal in Bitadze. He’s got a really nice shooting stroke, can hit the 3pter and defends at the rim. Teams will regret passing on him…but the playing time isn’t really there yet. |
5 (20) | Eric Paschall, Warriros – Career Projection: Future Starter/Glue Guy Paschall has shown a vastly improved isolation game and one on one scoring ability to go along with his great strength and vertical explosion. He’s established himself as a long term NBA player with potentially some All-Star upside. |
5 (21) | Cam Johnson, Suns – Career Projection: Specialist/Starter/Possible All-Star The 3pt shot is real. Cam is fitting in seamlessly on the wing in Phoenix. |
5 (22) | Terrence Davis, Raptors – Career Projection: Surprise Rookie/Sleeper Star Davis is having a great rookie season and shows promise as a long term starter down the road. |
6 (22) | Kevin Porter Jr., Cavs – Career Projection: Possible Starter/Boom or Bust There could be great things ahead for KPJ. He’s a scoring machine who plays with finesse and brute force. But he’s got some red flags as well. |
6 (22) | Chuma Okeke, Magic – Career Projection: Starter when healthy Okeke could be a nice pick up for a rebuilding team. Before his injury he was looking like a possible top 10 draft pick. He’s got great size on the wing, defensive instincts and a nice 3pt stroke. |
6 (22) | Grant Williams, Celtics – Career Projection: Sneaky Upside Starter/Glue Guy He does a little bit of everything and could be a fun guy to own. |
7(26) | Darius Bazley, Thunder – Career Projection: Sneaky Upside Starter/Star Bazley has a ton of game. There will be growing pains and it might take a while but don’t sleep on this kid. He’s going to be good. |
7 (27) | Bol Bol, Nuggets – Career Projection: It all comes down to health Bol is back on the court and is making a big splash in the G League. He’s a long term project that could pay off big time down the road. Or at least give you an intriguing trade chip. |
7(28) | Bruno Fernando, Hawks – Career Projection: Possible Starter/Blocks Specialist/With Upside Bruno will get a shot at minutes and could put up decent rebounds, blocks and FG%. Eventually he’ll be hitting some 3’s as well. |
7(29) | Dylan Windler, Cavs – Career Projection: 3pt Sniper/Starter Windler still isn’t healthy and is basically just a stash for next year. |
8(30) | Keldon Johnson, Spurs – Career Projection: Starter/Possible All-Star How did he fall to no.29 on draft day? The playing time might not be there his rookie season so patience will be required but Johnson is a talented player with NBA size and translatable skills. |
8(31) | Jordan Poole, Warriors – Career Projection: Possible Starter/3pt Bomber Poole is a high volume shooter who has no fear about putting up shots. He’s got a quick release and also a quick first step, which keeps the defense honest. He should get plenty of minutes for the beaten down Warriors, giving him some added value in his rookie campaign. |
8(32) | Nassir Little, Blazers – Career Projection: Role Player/Defender Little might be more valuable in real life than on a fantasy roster as his percentages and 3pt shooting just aren’t there yet. He’s a longer term prospect for deeper leagues. |
8(33) | Romeo Langford, Celtics – Career Projection: Bench scorer/boom or bust It could be a long time before Romeo gets meaningful minutes in the League, and can be left on the waiver wire or held as a stash. |
8(34) | Luka Samanic, Spurs – Career Projection: Possible Starter/ The minutes might not be there early in his career so this is more of a longer term play. |
8(35) | Ty Jerome, Suns – Career Projection: Possible Starter/3pt Specialist Ty could get minutes early in his career with the Suns. He might not be the most exciting player to draft but could be a sneaky steal. |
8(36) | Ky Bowman, Warriors – Career Projection: Scorer off the bench Ky has been getting big minutes for the Warriors, showing off his scoring ability and competitiveness. It’s hard to say what his value will be next year once the Warriors are back to full strength but he’s doing enough right now to warrent an add in most keeper leagues. |
8(37) | Carson Edwards, Celtics – Career Projection: Boom or Bust/Sleeper Star We always underestimate him. If he gets starters minutes in the League his numbers could be niice. |
