Ben Bentil NBA Draft Scouting Report

6-8 – SF – Providence

Bentil is a combo forward who has good strength and is a lethal scorer. He doesn’t have great length but his skill level sets him apart from other front-court players.

Pros
Has a knack for scoring the ball and can get really hot from outside. He’s a natural scorer with quick strike ability. He’s not a run/jump athlete but has plenty of quickness to burst into the lane and score the ball.

At 235lbs he’s got a thick, strong body and he uses it well to shield defenders and find his shot. He can score on the low block, from mid range, or from three point land.

Cons
Is undersized for playing in the paint (but makes up for it with 7’1.5 wingspan). Is more of a below the rim player with limited upside as a shot blocker/rim protector.

Needs to continue to transition from playing inside to developing his perimeter game. Needs to tighten up his ball handling and improve his abilities as a play-maker.

Comparisons
Reminds of Marcus Morris with his offensive skill set and he’s got some Cleanthony Early in his game too.
