Zach LaVine NBA Draft Scouting Report

6-5 – Combo Guard – UCLA

A high flying and explosive athlete with a very good skill level. Big time upside.

Pros
An exceptional athlete who can jump out of the gym. One of the best dunkers in college ball and has a great feel for getting to the rim, either on the dribble drive or on backdoor cuts.

A well rounded player who is much more than just a great athlete. Shoots a high percentage from the field, takes smart shots and shows good form on his jumper. Has accurate range out to NBA three and shows good consistency for a young player. A decent free throw shooter with some room for improvement.

Is a good decision maker on the court and doesn’t force passes. Rarely turns the ball over and is a good passer.

Cons
Has all the tools to be a star, just needs to continue to improve his game and work on his body.  Needs to add strength to compete at the next level.

Projection: lottery to mid first round pick in the 2014 or 2015 NBA Draft
