Trey Lyles NBA Draft Scouting Report

6-9 – Power Forward – Kentucky

Efficient and  talented forward with an advanced offensive game.

Pros
Scores the ball well in the paint and from mid range. Has a variety of moves when facing up and a nice spin move.  Has a soft touch around the basket.

Shows nice form on his jumper and should become a consistent threat out to three point land.

A natural scorer who scores in a variety of ways and is also a willing passer with good court vision and feel for the game.

Cons
Not an overpowering player and lacks ideal NBA height. A big slow footed and heavy-legged. Needs to get into top shape to reach his potential. Lacks the athleticism to excel on the wing at the NBA level.

Does not project as a high level shot blocker or defender.

Projection: mid to late first round pick in the 2015 NBA Draft
