The Elite 25 Revisited: The Top NBA Prospects In HS Basketball – Winter 2024

Four Months ago I put out my annual Elite 25 list of the top talents in high school basketball. Now, half-way through the basketball season here’s an updated Elite 25 list, with a few players making big moves, many players holding their ranking, and a few new names on the list.

At the top of the list there are four elite prospects with NBA superstar potential. It’s nearly impossible to rank these four in order, and I think of them as all being about equal; a fab four.

There are twelve class of 2024 recruits on this list, six class of 2025 recruits, six class of 2026 recruits and one class of 2027. This might be too screwed towards the senior class…but it is a really strong group.

The Elite 25, Updated

  1. Cooper Flagg – SF/PF – Duke – C’2024 – Flagg continues to shine as an all around elite player who does a bit of everything on the court. We all love to focus on the offensive end but with Flagg his defense is so spectacular that it deserves our full attention. He has elite timing as a shot blocker and an uncanny ability to make plays on the defensive end. His on ball defense is impressive and his off ball defense is truly special. Add in his complete offensive package and it’s easy to see why he’s no.1 in his class and at the top of this list. With all that said, the next three players on this list are making a serious run at the top spot.
