NBA DRAFT SCOUTING REPORT
POSITION: SF | FROM: LSU | HT: 6-8 | WT: 217 |
BORN: NA | YEAR: So. | WING: 7-2 | REACH: NA |
Draft Notes
Tari Eason, a transfer from Cincinnati, had a breakout season for the LSU Tigers and has solidified himself as a likely first round pick.
A 6-8 combo forward with length, athleticism and versatility, Eason can do a bit of everything on the court and impacts both ends of the floor.
He’s a versatile defender who can guard 1-4. Eason has a strong upper body, good size, length and agility, allowing him to match up with bigger forwards in the lane or step out and guard on the perimeter.
On offense he’s a heady player who knows his strengths. Eason has good court vision and moves the ball well and does a good job of attacking the basket and using his length and athleticism to score in the lane. He’s not much of a 3pt shooter or mid range threat and will have to add this to his game to reach his NBA potential.
He measured with an impressive 7-2 wingspan at the draft combine and had the biggest hands of any player measured.
