Draft Notes

Pettiford is an explosive athlete at the point guard position. He’s got a strong, compact frame with great burst, leaping ability and a great first step. He can blow-by defenders and get into the lane at will.

He’s a solid 3pt shooter who can be streaky from outside. He can get his shot whenever he wants thanks to his ability to dance with the ball and create space with the dribble.

Does a good job of penetrating the defense and finding teammates. Puts a lot of pressure on the D and is tough to guard with just one defender.

Doesn’t have ideal size but partially makes up for it with his strength and high-end athleticism. Has a good wingspan for a player his size and could have just enough size to be a difference maker in the NBA.

He’s a star in college and is a big time talent who would be a lottery pick if he was two inches taller.
