Shaq Goodwin NBA Draft Scouting Report

6-8 – Power Forward – Memphis

A very active and talented forward who plays with passion, intensity and intelligence. A bit undersized but highly skilled.

Makes up for his lack of ideal size with great quickness, overall athleticism and hustle. Gets up and down the floor very well and is extremely active on both ends.

Has good hops and ability to finish above the rim. Shoots a high percentage from the floor, mainly due to his good shot selection. Gets a lot of dunks and layups thanks to his hustle and good understanding of spacing and how to move without the ball.

Is developing a nice mid range game to go with his back to the basket moves. Reminds me of Kenneth Faried but with a higher skill level.

Doesn’t have great height for a power forward and will be out matched vs. many NBA BIGs.

Must continue to improve his free throw shooting and face-up game.

Projection: possible second round pick in the 2016 NBA Draft
