Sam Dekker NBA Draft Scouting Report

6-9 – Small Forward – Wisconsin

A versatile forward who places an efficient and balanced game.

An excellent scorer who doesn’t need to take a ton of shots to get points. Shoots a high percentage from the field and from three. Has good looking form on his shot and will likely extend his range to the NBA three.

Gets into the lane well and has good quickness and hops. Surprises you with his athleticism.

Plays with good energy and isn’t afraid to do the dirty work of rebounding, defending and setting screens. Has quick hands and is active in the passing lanes.

Needs to become a better free throw shooter.

Needs to get better with his ball handling and shooting off the dribble.

Doesn’t seem like a first option scorer, but is still very effective at getting buckets.

Projection: mid to late first round pick in the 2015 NBA Draft
