Draft Notes

Harper Jr. is a broad shouldered 6-6 guard with a very high skill level and great feel for the game. He’s not a jump out of the gym athlete but he’s a high level prospect who can beat you in a lot of ways.

3pt. shooting and versatility are two of the most important things in today’s NBA and Harper Jr. brings both. He’s a nice catch and shoot player and can also create offense for himself and score off the dribble. He’s a little like Gary Trent Jr. with his shooting gravity.

He’s a crafty scorer who does damage in the paint, can hit runners and short fade away’s and can body his way through the defense on his way to the rim.

On the defensive end he’s able to use his thick frame to guard above his position and rebound the ball against taller players. He’s got quick hands and good footwork, although pure athleticism and speed are a bit lacking.
