Rodney Purvis NBA Draft Scouting Report

6-3 – Shooting Guard – UConn

A compact and strong 2 guard who lacks ideal height.

Pros
A powerful guard with a score-first mentality. Gets into the lane well and is dangerous from mid range and capable of scoring over taller players.

Shoots the three ball well and is a threat to score anytime he has the ball in his hands.

Cons
At 6-3 is undersized for the shooting guard position. Is not an explosive leaper and struggles to play above the rim.

Is a very poor free throw shooter with a lot of work to do in this area.

Can force the issue on offense and needs to become a better facilitator.
