Draft Notes

Reed is a unique talent. He’s a bit undersized for the SG position and isn’t an elite athlete but shows a great ability to put the ball in the basket and is one of the best shooters in all of college basketball. Has a quick release and is lethal from downtown. He’s also a great decision maker on the court, keeps the ball moving and plays within the offense. Is incredibly efficient with his shooting.

Reed has a solid frame and decent movement skills but isn’t a big above the rim player. Has a skill-based game that relies on being a shot-maker and a play-maker.

Does a good job of moving the ball and finding open teammates. He’s not a pure point guard but knows how to run an offense and is a skilled passer. Pushes the ball well and is a good pass-ahead player.

Is a very heady defender who is pesky on the ball and can pick the pocket of the ball-handler. Uses positioning really well, has great footwork on defense and has enough strength to hold his own against bigger guards and wings.
