Quincy Miller Scouting Report

6,9 – Small Forward – Baylor

After a fast start to his Baylor career, Miller has hit a wall and at this point doesn’t look ready for the NBA. Would be wise to return to school for his Sophomore year.

Pros

A very versatile player who, at 6,9 can handle and shoot the ball very well. An excellent scorer with a soft touch on his jump shot and good decision making with the ball.  Handles the ball exceptionally well for a 6,9 player and can break defenders down with nasty crossover and behind the back dribbles. Great at taking the ball to the rim and getting defenders in the air with pump fakes and ball fakes.

Long arms and good timing make him a good shot blocker and decent rebounder.

Cons

Doesn’t currently have the strength to match up inside against NBA post players but should be able to put on some weight and gain strength. Sometimes falls in love with making highlight film plays instead of the smart play and settles too often for outside shots. Past knee injury will be something to keep an eye on and might have already lost some explosiveness.
