NBA DRAFT SCOUTING REPORT
POSITION: SF | FROM: Cincinnati | HT: 6-7 | WT: 230 |
BORN: NA | YEAR: Sr. | WING: NA | REACH: NA |
Draft Notes
Landers got off to a very fast start to his college career, showing knockdown shooting ability with a quick stroke during his one year at Virginia Tech. After a stint at Memphis he finished his career at Cincinnati.
He’s not the greatest athlete in terms of agility and vertical explosion but he’s got good feet, good speed and a lot of natural strength. He’s a heady player who uses ball fakes well and knows how to get the defender off balance. He’s a capable driver/ball-handler who shows some creativity with the ball.
His shooting stroke is his main NBA skill at this point. As a senior he knocked down nearly 42% from 3 and certainly looks the part of a NBA level floor spacer.
He’ll have to continue to round out the rest of his offensive game and improve his defense to make it in the NBA.
