Draft Notes

Jefferies is a 6-7 athlete with a solid frame and an attacking style of play. He’s got good length, a lot of bounce and is developing the skills to play on the wing.

  • Has a strong frame, despite being fairly skinny – muscular with broad shoulders and good length
  • Plays above the rim with ease
  • Has some wiggle with the dribble including a wide crossover and good change of speeds – has become more than just a straight line driver
  • Has decent shooting form and can hit the 3 point shot – puts good rotation on the ball and rises up with confidence
  • Has all the tools to be a standout defender and seems to take the task personally
  • Has enough strength and size to guard in the lane and the quickness and lateral agility to guard smaller players on the perimeter
  • Rebounds well on both ends of the floor
  • Has somewhat of a low release point on his jumper (although he hits it)
  • Needs to tighten his handles and develop his left hand
  • Seems to disappear at times and needs to learn to play with a consistent motor
  • Like most young players, he needs to learn the finer points of the game and develop his BBIQ

Comparisons

  • Loul Deng
