Draft Notes
Nick Smith is a big, dynamic combo guard who projects as a mid to late lottery pick in the 2023 NBA draft.
Smith has springy legs, really good bounce and above the rim ability. He’s got a long 6-9 wingspan which helps him play bigger than his size, score in traffic and make plays in the lane.
He’s battled knee issues during his freshman season, which has slowed him down and kept him from putting it all together on the court but he’s still a big time talent with a bright future, if he can stay healthy.
He’s lights out with the ball in his hands and is one of the most talented scorers in his class. He doesn’t have elite Jaden Ivey level burst or first step but he’s quick with the ball and has a suddenness to his game.
Has a frame that can add more weight, with broad shoulders and great length.
Has easy 3pt range and a very smooth jumper.
Has a deep bag.
