Draft Notes

Nick Smith is a big, dynamic combo guard who projects as a mid to late first round pick in the 2023 NBA draft.

Smith has springy legs, decent bounce and above the rim ability. He’s got a long 6-9 wingspan which helps him play bigger than his size, score in traffic and make plays in the lane.

He’s battled knee issues during his freshman season, which has slowed him down and kept him from putting it all together on the court but he’s still a big time talent with a bright future, if he can stay healthy.

He’s lights out with the ball in his hands and is one of the most talented scorers in his class. He doesn’t have great quickness and struggled to gain separation at the college level.

Has a frame that can add more weight, with broad shoulders and great length.

Has easy 3pt range and a very smooth jumper.

Has a deep bag.
