Overview
A powerful and aggressive post player who is one of the top prospects in his class. Has advanced ball skills for a big man and is a skilled passer.
Strengths
Long, strong and coordinated athlete who is an old school, physical player. Makes his presence felt in the paint on both ends of the floor. Reid is a solid rebounder and intimating shot blocker who can defend above the rim.
Has skills as a passer and a flair for the dramatic. Has developing ball handling skills and a decent looking mid range jumper.
Reads the play well, both as a passer and with his timing crashing the offensive boards.
Weaknesses
Needs to play under better control and make smarter decisions. His attitude can be both a strength and a weakness.
Doesn’t have elite run/jump skills and doesn’t have great lateral quickness.
Comparisons
A slightly bigger (and slower) Julius Randle.
