Draft Notes

Diakite is a wiry and twitchy athlete who flies all over the court and plays a high tempo, aggressive game. His skill level is skill catching up to his athletic tools but the future is very bright for him.

Shoots the ball with a lot of confidence, although is far from a knockdown shooter at this point. Still, it’s good to see him working on this part of his game and getting experience and reps putting up shots from 3.

He’s an aggressive driver who plays with some power and can muscle his way to the rim. He’s also got some nice mid range moves, although again, he doesn’t always knock down his shots.

Diakite really excels on the defensive end thanks to his great frame, athleticism and high energy play. He can guard multiple positions and has quick feet on the perimeter.

He’s more of a developmental player but has good tools. It might take some time but I think he’ll play in the NBA.
