Draft Notes
A broad-shouldered and powerful guard who should get a lot of run at Arizona State and could be a one and done player. Doesn’t project as an elite NBA player but has a chance to have a very long career in the League.
- Intangibles – focus, intensity, BBIQ and all-out hustle
- Excellent in the open court and can really score in transition
- Has good size on the wing with a plus 4 wingspan and a lot of natural strength
- A good passer who plays with poise, displays excellent court vision and always seems to be one step ahead of the defense
- A stout defender who gives great effort – can guard 2-3 with ease and 1-4 if needed
- A creative scorer who can finish in the lane with all sorts of layups and flip shots, mid range jumpers and up and under moves
- Has very quick feet for a big guard
- Isn’t an elite run/jump athlete and is built more like a fullback than a small forward
- Is very right-hand dominant
- Is a good but not great outside shooter who can struggle to get his own shot off the dribble
Comparisons
- Keith Bogans but with more upside
- In some ways he’s like a much bigger version of Marcus Smart
- Lance Stephenson
