Draft Notes
Livio Berlingeri is a skilled, high-IQ forward with an advanced offensive game and an intriguing combination of size, shooting and feel. He’s not an overwhelming athlete, but he makes up for it with skill, instincts and a polished approach.
Offensively, Berlingeri’s shooting is the headliner. He has a smooth stroke, good range and the ability to knock down shots both spotting up and coming off movement. He shows good feel attacking closeouts, can put the ball on the deck and has some secondary playmaking ability. He generally plays within himself and has a mature understanding of spacing and how to find openings in the defense.
Defensively, Berlingeri competes and uses his size and positioning well, although lateral quickness could be a concern against NBA-level wings. Adding strength will be important as he moves up in competition.
The swing skill will be how much he can expand his off-the-dribble game. If he develops into more of a creator rather than primarily a floor-spacing forward, his ceiling rises considerably.
NBA Draft Room Take: Berlingeri has the look of a modern stretch forward with legitimate shooting gravity and a strong feel for the game. The combination of size, shooting and basketball IQ gives him a clear pathway to an NBA role, with upside beyond that if the creation develops.
