Kennedy Meeks NBA Draft Scouting Report

6-9 – Power Forward – North Carolina

A mammoth post player who has some good ball skills but needs to get into better shape to compete at the next level.

Pros
Big and solid post player with good hands and a decent skill level. Meeks is an above average passer for a big guy and has a good understanding of the game.

Rebounds the ball well, getting good position and using his wide body well to control space in the lane. A very good outlet passer after grabbing rebounds.

Has decent range on his jumper with pretty good form but does his best work in the post.

Cons
Has a lot of work to do on his body. Needs to lose more weight and get into top shape.

Doesn’t get off the floor well and is a below average shot blocker for a PF/C.

Is a poor free throw shooter – although shows decent form and has the tools to improve his shot, in time.

Projection: late first or second round pick in the 2015 NBA Draft or 2016 Draft
