NBA DRAFT SCOUTING REPORT
POSITION: SG | FROM: Iowa | HT: 6-7 1/4 | WT: 205 |
BORN: 8/23/99 | YEAR: Jr. | WING: 6-11 | REACH: 8-7 |
Draft Notes
Wieskamp is a big guard who impacts all aspects of the game but has one special NBA talent and that is hitting the 3pt shot. He’s hitting over 48% from 3 as a junior and has a shot that projects well to the next level. He’s also got a decent dribble drive game and can make plays off the bounce.
At 6-7+ he’s got NBA size and he’s a well built athlete with good strength. He doesn’t have elite foot-speed or explosive above the rim ability but has more than enough athleticism to hold his own at the next level.
He appears to have a plus wingspan and shows a good ability to rebound the ball.
Joe doesn’t get a ton of draft hype but with that type of shooting ability at his size he’ll be on NBA radars.
