Draft Notes

Beringer is a high upside young center prospect who has big time athletic tools and is just scratching the surface of how good he can be. He’s one of the youngest players in the 2025 draft class and one of the most intriguing. He’s only been playing basketball for about 4 years, after being a soccer player growing up.

He’s a standout defender who does a great job of protecting the rim. Does a good job of staying vertical and not fouling. Has good size and length with a frame that will add strength. Moves really well in space and can hang with guards and wings on the perimeter and recover to guard at the rim. Has truly impressive movement skills.

A very active rebounder with a nose for the ball. Is quick off the ground and a nice second jump.

Runs the floor very well and is breathtaking to watch with how well he moves at his size.

Will take some time to be NBA ready and probably won’t be asked to do too much in year one but could pay big dividends a few years down the road.

Comparisons

  • stronger Nerlens Noel
  • more bulky Joakim Noah
  • Serge Ibaka
