NBA Draft Prospect Jerami Grant
6-8 – Small Forward – Syracuse
Quick and active wing player with nice hops and natural basketball instincts.
Has ideal size for the SF position and the type of quickness and athleticism to be a high level NBA player (just like his papa). Runs the floor exceptionally well and spaces the floor well on the break.
Has a nice high release on his jumper and has shown good improvement in his accuracy and shot selection. Hits a nice percentage from the field and from three point land (although he doesn’t take many 3’s).
Very active on defense and has ideal length for the Syracuse zone. Should have no problem playing man to man D, as he has plenty of prior experience.
Needs to continue to round out his game and improve his shooting and ball handling. Not a good free throw shooter at this point in his career but is likely to improve over the coming years.
Projection: mid first round pick in the 2014 NBA Draft
