Jaylen Hoard is a long, quick and athletic small forward who has the kind of versatility and upside that scouts love. His 7-1 wingspan allows him to play big and make plays in the lane while his open court quickness and emerging offensive game give him a lot of promise as an NBA wing. A native of France, Hoard is bringing is talents to Wake Forest where he’ll learn from NBA great Danny Manning.

• Athleticism: Hoard can really get up and down the court and is a long and fluid athlete
• A quick leaper who gets above the rim in a hurry and has a quick second jump
• Has great length with a +5 wingspan
• His length, quick feet and coordination make him a versatile defender who can wreck havoc in the passing lanes and can guard 2-4
• Shows promise as a scorer, especially in the mid range and with his face-up game
• Has a quick first step and can take his man off the dribble and get to the lane
• Does a good job of penetrating and finding the open man, showing natural play-making skills
• A solid ball handler who can attack off the bounce
• Attacks the offensive glass well and rebounds both ends of the floor
• Doesn’t have great natural strength and will have to hit the weight room hard
• Isn’t yet a consistent three point threat
