Draft Notes
Jaylen Hoard is a long, quick and athletic small forward who has the kind of versatility and upside that scouts love. His 7-1 wingspan allows him to play big and make plays in the lane while his open court quickness and emerging offensive game give him a lot of promise as an NBA wing. A native of France, Hoard is bringing is talents to Wake Forest where he’ll learn from NBA great Danny Manning.
- Athleticism: Hoard can really get up and down the court and is a long and fluid athlete

- Has a quick first step and can take his man off the dribble and get to the lane
- Does a good job of penetrating and finding the open man, showing natural play-making skills
- A solid ball handler who can attack off the bounce
- Attacks the offensive glass well and rebounds both ends of the floor
- Doesn’t have great natural strength and will have to hit the weight room hard
- Isn’t yet a consistent three point threat
