Jase Richardson

Draft Notes

Jason Richardson’s son is a talented and highly efficient combo guard who had a really good freshman season at Michigan State. He’s a super heady player who always makes the right reads, hits shots at a high level and is a plus player whenever he’s on the floor.

The big knock against Richardson is his lack of ideal size. He measured under 6-1 barefoot at the combine, which is small for a point guard and very small for a combo guard. He does have good length with a 6-6 wingspan but even so, is lack of size will likely limit his NBA upside.

Jace is a really good 3pt shooter who seems to only take good shots within the flow of the offense. He’s a good connective passer who keeps the ball moving and can also drive and kick. Continuing to develop his point guard skills will be key to his NBA success.

He’s not the same level of power-dunker that his dad was but he’s more of a natural shooter and scorer.
