Jahii Carson NBA Draft Scouting Report

5-10 – Point Guard – Arizona State

Small but electrifying point guard who can fill it up.

Pros
A flat out scorer who is nearly impossible to keep out of the lane. Carson has elite level quickness and ball handling ability. A great leaper who can dunk easily despite his size.

Blows by defenders with the dribble and explodes into the lane. A willing passer who is more of a natural scorer but embraces the point guard position.

Shoots the ball well from outside and gets his shot off quickly. Gets a lot of space because of his blow by speed and is good at keeping defenders honest.

Plays like a combination of Nate Robinson and Allen Iverson.

Cons
His height will always be a liability on defense.

Can get out of control with his play and needs to understand when to facilitate and run the offense.

Projection: mid to late first round pick in the 2014 or 2015 NBA Draft
