Khristian Lander is not only the number one basketball prospect in Indiana, he is the number one point guard in the 2021 basketball class, although he has indicated he could reclassify and join the 2020 recruiting class.

He plays for Francis Joseph Reitz School in Evansville, Indiana. He is currently the 9th ranked prospect in the 2021 class by 247 sports and a projected as a mid first round pick in 2022 by NBA Draft Room.

At 6-2 160 he has explosive athleticism and a sharp basketball IQ. He is the type of point guard you need when the game is on the line. We talked about his commitment to stay home and be an Indiana Hoosier and what he will show NBA scouts:

LJ: Being the type of player you are. Being dangerous in so many ways, what is the strength of your skill set?

Khristian: I feel like the best part is getting my teammates open and being able to score at will with my quick first step. Also, being able to shoot at all three levels.

LJ: What made you commit to Indiana?

Khristian: A lot of different things it wasn’t just one specific thing that was just like wow I need to be here it was just the consistency of the coaches recruiting me.

LJ: What have the coaches at Indiana told you your role was going to be?

Khristian: Being there PG and being a leader from the jump.

LJ: You played in a lot of big games in high school. What were the stats of your best game?

Khristian: 41pts 6ast 2stls 7reb 1blk.

LJ: What players have you become close with on Indiana? Are you trying to recruit any players to the Hoosiers? Who?

Khristian: I’m trying to get close with as many people on the team as possible since I’m the PG. But as of right now I’m not recruiting anyone.

LJ: What type of guard are NBA scouts seeing?

Khristian: A guard that can get it done on both ends of the court. Do really well off the pick n roll which that’s what the NBA is based off of. And being a leader on and off the court.
