Ike Anigbogu NBA Draft Scouting Report

6-10 – PF – UCLA

A long armed and very powerful post player who is an elite shot blocker and projects as a great defender at the next level.

Pros
Anigbogu has huge value as a rim protector. He is built like a rock and has extremely long arms, while also showing good patience and timing as a shot blocker.

Has the ability to anchor the defense and rebound at a high level, and his impact on the game doesn’t always show up in the stat sheet.

Has the physical tools to hold his own in the NBA. He is developing quickly and shows flashes of high upside potential.

Can score at the rim and does a good job of playing within his means on the offensive end, not trying to do too much.

Cons
Isn’t a natural offensive talent in terms of shooting from outside or handling the ball. Is still raw and unpolished on both ends of the floor.

Is a poor free throw shooter.

Needs to learn to avoid the silly fouls and do a better job of staying vertical in the lane.

Comparisons
Plays like Tristan Thompson; a solid defender who protects the rim, can run the floor and is a great finisher at the rim.

Projection: lottery to mid first round pick in the 2017 or 2018 NBA Draft
