6-10 – Power Forward – Michigan State
A raw and promising PF with intriguing upside. Well built for the next level.
Pros
Has really good length, strength and fluidity. Gets off the ground well and has good coordination. Has a quick first and second jump.
A solid post defender who protects the rim well. Shows good timing on weak-side help and has a good feel for defensive rotations. Has a nose for the ball and rebounds out of his area well.
Still developing as a post player but shows a lot of potential. Has a nice face-up game with good form on his jumper and range out to 18.
Runs the floor like a wing. Has good hands and catches the ball in transition well.
Cons
Lacking in experience and is raw and unrefined. Doesn’t yet have consistent moves in the paint and lacks a go-to move.
Needs to bulk up. Is too foul prone and needs to play with better discipline.
Must improve as a free throw shooter and continue to get more consistent from mid range.
Comparisons
Reminds of Al Horford with his ability to face up and score from two levels. Looks like a higher upside version of Richaun Holmes.
Projection: lottery pick in the 2016 or 2017 NBA Draft
