Dejounte Murray NBA Draft Scouting Report

6-5 – Combo Guard – Washington

A long, wiry and athletic combo guard who can really get to the rim and score the ball.

Has a quick first step and nice overall speed and athleticism, to go along with great length. Can get to the cup in a hurry and is very creative with the ball. Really excels at breaking defenders down off the dribble.

Sees the floor really well and uses his height and length to pass over the defense. Changes ends quickly and is very dangerous in transition.

Plays with high energy and good competitiveness.

Skinny and really needs to bulk up to defend at the next level.

Has a lot of work to do on his shooting. Doesn’t hit consistently from three point range and is a poor free throw shooter.

Way too turnover prone at this point in his career.

He’s got length, size and bounce like Larry Hughes and (for better and worse) a little Nick Young in his game.

Projection: first round pick in the 2016 NBA Draft
