De’Aaron Fox NBA Draft Scouting Report

6-3 – Point Guard – Kentucky

Exceptionally quick in the open court and explosive off the dribble. An excellent floor general who excels at setting up teammates and can get buckets as well.

Has top level athletic ability and an NBA body. Very quick first step, great speed and good leaping ability. Has good length for his size which allows him to score in the lane and play bigger than his 6-3 frame.

Gets into the lane with ease using his solid handles and quick first step. Can score in a variety of ways, with either hand.

Has a great feel for spacing the offense and getting his teammates involved. Knows how to find the open shooter and is a true leader and floor general.

A very pesky defender who can really get after it on defense. Has long arms and quick hands, which leads to a lot of deflections and steals.

Has really embraced the point guard role and is constantly looking to get teammates involved. Tends to make smart decisions with the ball and doesn’t over drive or over shoot the ball. A very heady player.

Needs to improve his shooting and get to the point where he can hit the outside shot consistently.

Is a good but not great athlete and isn’t a superior above the rim player.

Lacks strength.

A more explosive and better passing Brandon Knight. Rajon Rondo.
