Draft Notes

CMB is an interesting prospect who has gone from relative obscurity to being very much in the lottery discussion.

He’s a burly 6-7 combo forward with a high skill level, great passing vision and scoring touch. He’s also a standout defender and is one of the best defensive prospects in the draft class. He can guard up and down the line-up, has the strength and length to hold his own inside and the foot-speed to guard in space.

He’s a real play-maker on defense who gets his hands on a lot of balls and is very disruptive.

He’s not a run/jump athlete and is more of a below the rim/power player but he knows how to use his frame to move defenders off balance and he can hold is own against taller players.

Has a really nice scoring touch in the lane and from mid range. Isn’t a great outside shooter and is below average from the FT line.

His all around game is really impressive and I feel like he’s a jump-shot away from being a star. Whether or not that jumper ever comes around remains to be seen.
