6-9 – Power Forward – Centereach, NY
A fast rising prospect who is long, wiry and athletic. Plays above the rim and is a major force on the defensive end.
Pros
Has great physical tools to work with. Very long and quick with room for more growth. Can jump out of the gym and consistently makes plays above the rim on both ends of the floor. Is a very high level shot-blocker and intimidator on defense.
His offensive game isn’t very advanced but he’s shown improvement and is learning to score with his back to the basket. He is most dangerous on put backs and lobs in the lane.
Plays with all-out hustle and energy. Runs the floor better than every BIG he matches up against. Very quick and nibble for a player his size.
Cons
Must continue to improve his ball handling and shooting skills. Lacks a go-to move in the paint and doesn’t project as a high level post scorer.
Will have to add weight/strength to excel at the college and NBA levels.
Projection: mid first round pick in the 2016 NBA Draft
