Caris LeVert NBA Draft Scouting Report

6-7 – Combo Guard – Michigan

Highly athletic combo guard with great upside potential. Recovering from an injured foot.

Pros
Has all of the physical tools to match up at the next level and has improved tremendously since coming to Michigan.

Very long and quick athlete with a great first step. Has physical tools similar to Dante Exum and could move up draft boards if he continues to develop his game.

Gets into the lane well and is a very willing passer.  Has nice form and very good elevation on his jumper and hits from downtown at a good rate (about 40% sophomore year).

Is already a very good defender and has the potential to be a true lockdown defender, thanks to his length, quickness and competitiveness.

Cons
Injury prone.

Still developing his game and his body. Needs to improve his assist to turnover ratio if he wants to play the point. Needs to hit a higher percentage from the free throw line and continue to improve his outside shooting.

Will have to add strength and refine his defensive technique and positioning.

Projection: late first to second round pick in the 2016 NBA Draft
