NBA Draft Prospect Cameron Ridley
6-10 – Center – Texas
Pros
Very sold center prospect with good strength and size. Shows good post skills for a young big man and is committed to playing in the post. A true back to the basket center prospect with the mentality of a big man. Boxes out and rebounds well. Decent shot blocker who plays hard on D.
Has a variety of post moves and will continue to refine his moves at Texas. Fundamentally sound player with an old school game.
Cons
Not a great athlete and lacks foot speed. Doesn’t have great leaping ability and will have a tough time keeping up with the new breed of fleet footed big men. Will likely never be a great shot blocker due to his limited athleticism.
Projection: second round pick in the 2014 NBA Draft
