Draft Notes

Cameron Boozer is an elite recruit who was one of the top guys in the 2025 recruiting class and is a near lock to go in the top 3 picks in the 2026 NBA Draft.

The son of Carlos Boozer, Cameron has a similar skill-set to his old man with a nice ability to score the ball in a variety of ways. He’s lethal from mid range, is developing a nice 3pt shot and has some big wing skills and is very comfortable with the ball in his hands in space.

Has an incredibly advanced game for a player his age, showing a level of polish that you normally find in older college players or at the pro level.

He’s well built with broad shoulders and a lot of natural strength. He’s a quick and coordinated athlete, although isn’t super twitchy or bouncy.

Cameron has a knack for scoring the ball and makes it look effortless. He has really incredible touch in the paint and from mid range. He’s also expanding his game and becoming a solid 3pt shooter.

There are some question marks with his lack of burst and athleticism. He’s more of a below the rim player, doesn’t protect the rim particularly well on the defensive end and relies on technique and strength to rebound and defend. He also doesn’t gain much separation on his drives to the rim.

He’s not a flashy player and his highlights don’t jump off the screen like some other prospects do but he’s just relentlessly efficient and effective on the court.

Believe the hype, this kid is really, really good. Whether he tops out as an All Star of a superstar remains to be seen.
