Brannen Greene NBA Draft Scouting Report

6-7 – Shooting Guard – Kansas

SG with ideal size and a silky smooth jumper.

Pros
Greene has prototypical Shooting Guard size and skill set. He has a long, 6-7 frame with very good burst and elevation.

A silky smooth jump shooter with a smooth and consistent shot, he hits a good percentage of his threes and has deep range. His mechanics suggest that he’ll continue to gain accuracy from outside and become a deadly three point shooter at the next level. Hits a very high percentage of free throws.

Greene is a high level athlete with great length and good leaping ability. He attacks the rim well and has the ability to throw it down in traffic or over defenders. He has a nice first step and uses shot fakes well to gain advantage.

Has good potential on the defensive end and is a competitor.

Cons
Still rounding out his game, improving his handles, dribble drive and footwork. Hasn’t put it all together yet, despite having a high skill level and a few years of college experience.

Has some work to do on his strength, which would help him on the defensive end.

Can he ever become a go-to guy for Jayhawks?

Projection: possible second round pick in the 2016 or 2017 NBA Draft
