We’re more than halfway through the season and the 2025 NBA Draft class is still looking very strong. There has been some talk that this heralded class has been a bit of a disappointment and maybe this class is not as strong as originally thought. My take is this:

It’s true that some prospects have been disappointments (or were over-hyped to begin with) but these disappointments have been more than offset by the emergence of some new stars. The rise of Jeremiah Fears, Thomas Sorber, Rasheer Fleming, Miles Byrd, Carter Bryant, Jase Richardson and others have helped keep this class as one of the strongest groups in a few years.
In recent weeks VJ Edgecombe has found his groove and is back to looking like a legit top 5 pick. And Tre Johnson continues to put up impressive scoring outbursts for the Longhorns.
The top 3 prospects are pretty much set in stone IMHO, with Cooper Flagg, Ace Bailey and Dylan Harper likely to come off the board first.
Flagg is a prospect worth tanking for and both Bailey and Harper have superstar potential. For more of my thoughts on this draft class see The State Of The 2025 NBA Draft.
One note about this big board is that it includes players that I project will stay in school for another year and so some of these prospects shows up on my 2026 mock draft.
