2024 NBA Draft Big Board 4.0 – Post Lottery Edition

With the early entry deadline passed and the draft lottery in the books draft season is in full swing.

There are many players testing the draft waters, who will ultimately return to school and get that NIL money but at this point in the draft process we have a pretty good idea which players will be in the 2024 draft.

Overall it’s a decent group of prospects but the biggest thing still missing from this class is a no.1 prospect. The top spot is still wide-open but there seems to be a bit of consensus forming around Alexandre Sarr to the Hawks at no.1

A few players who helped themselves the most in March and have been rising up draft boards ever since include the two bigs who matched up in the title game, Zach Edey and Donovan Clingan, along with UConn guard Stephon Castle. Clingan and Castle look like lottery locks, while Edey has solidified himself as a mid first rounder with end of lottery potential.

Kam Jones, DaRon Holmes II and Payton Sandfort also helped themselves in March.

There seems to be a decent amount of draft buzz and whispers around Carlton Carrington. I was hoping he’d spend another year in school but it could be that he’s more highly prized by NBA teams than I thought.

It looks like Bronny James will be keeping his name in the draft. If he wasn’t LeBron’s son he wouldn’t be drafted but let’s be real, King James has a massive influence on the league and there’s a decent chance the Lakers use a second round pick on Bronny.

In other big draft news, Nikola Topic has suffered another leg injury, which will knock him down at least a few spots on mocks and big boards. At the time of this writing we don’t know the extent of the injury but it didn’t look good.

There are also a number of players who were on my last big board but have chosen to return to school including: Kwame Evans Jr. Mackenzie Mgbako, Zvonimir Ivisic, Collin Murray-Boyles, Aaron Bradshaw, Tyrese Proctor, Hunter Dickinson and DJ Wagner.
