2023 NBA Draft Superlatives – Most Likely To…

For the past few years I’ve been having some fun looking at which players in that years draft class are most likely to excel in certain categories or reach certain achievements. Here’s the 2023 version of most likely to:

Have a 50-point game in the league: Victor Wembanyama, Brandon Miller, Scoot Henderson, Jordan Hawkins, Keyonte George (and there are more).

Be a Hall of Famer: Victor, Scoot, B.Miller, Amen, Ausur, Tyler Hendricks, Cam Whitmore, Jarace Walker

Lead the league in blocks: Wembanyama, Dereck Lively II

Lead the league in scoring: Brandon Miller, Wembanyama

Lead the league in assists: Scoot, Amen

Lead the league in rebounds: Wemby, James Nnaji, got to put Oscar Tshiebwe on here.

Win Defensive Player of the Year: Jarace Walker, Wembanyama, Cason Wallace, Adem Bona, Rayan Rupert

Win a slam-dunk contest: Amen, Ausar, Ricky Council IV, Bilal Coulibaly

Win a 3pt contest: Gradey Dick, Jordan Hawkins, Marcus Sasser, Seth Lundy, Jett Howard

Most likely to be a 50/40/90 guy: Julian Strawther, Kobe Bufkin, Brice Sensabaugh

Lead the G League in scoring: GG Jackson, Terquavion Smith, Nick Smith Jr.

Make it in the NFL: Jarace Walker, Mike Miles, Dillon Jones

Come out of nowhere and make it in the league: Jake Stephens, Dillon Jones, Sir’Jabari Rice

Most likely to have success after their basketball career: Drew Timme, Pete Nance, Tosan Evbuomwan, Jaylen Clark, Anthony Black

Most likely to eventually join a NBA front office: Colby Jones, Josiah James, Ben Sheppard

Most likely to get hired as a bouncer if the NBA thing doesn’t work out: James Nnaji, Jarace Walker, Zach Edey
